UZIMA INFORMATION

Your privacy matters

We use your data to advise you, fulfil your orders and meet our obligations. Version: 16 September 2026.

Who is responsible?

The controller is the sole trader operating Kizuna, trading as Uzima, enterprise number 0747.462.105, Rue d’Arsimont 16, 5190 Jemeppe-sur-Sambre, Belgium. Contact: boutik@uzima.store, +32 481 51 29 09 or our contact form.

Data and purposes

  • Advice and enquiries: contact details, messages and preferences you provide; steps requested before a contract or our legitimate interest in answering and following up.
  • Accounts, orders and delivery: identity, contact and delivery details, products, amounts, history and payment references; performance of our contract. Mandatory information is needed to fulfil your request or order.
  • Invoicing: accounting data and required records; legal obligations.
  • After-sales service, security and abuse prevention: correspondence, dispute evidence, technical logs and IP address; legal obligations or our proportionate legitimate interest in protecting the website and defending our rights.
  • Newsletter, if you subscribe: email address and supplied preferences, based on consent. You may unsubscribe at any time; purchasing does not subscribe you.
  • Optional cookies: prior consent; see Cookies and preferences.

We never ask you to email your PayPal password or full card details. The chosen payment provider processes payments; we receive transaction information needed to follow up. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive or medical information. We do not sell your data.

Recipients and international transfers

Access is limited to authorised people and providers as required: Odoo for the shop and management, email providers including Infomaniak, bpost for delivery, the selected payment provider, accounting professionals and legally entitled authorities. Each receives only what is needed for its role. Payment providers may also act as independent controllers under their own policies.

International providers may process data outside the EEA. Necessary transfers must rely on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses and supplementary measures where required. Contact us for details of recipients and safeguards relevant to your data.

Retention

Data is kept only as long as its purpose requires, then deleted or anonymised unless a legal duty requires retention. Enquiries are kept for handling and useful follow-up, with limited archives where needed for legal claims. Account and order data is retained for the relationship and applicable warranty, legal and dispute periods. Invoices and records covered by the relevant Belgian tax duty are kept for 10 years from 1 January following the year concerned, unless a specific rule requires otherwise. Consented marketing data is used until withdrawal or the purpose ends; limited evidence of your choice may be kept to respect it. Technical records are retained according to proportionate security and operational needs. Cookie expiry can be checked in your browser.

Your rights

Subject to GDPR conditions, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability. You may object to legitimate-interest processing for reasons relating to your situation and to direct marketing at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. Erasure does not override legal retention duties.

Email boutik@uzima.store with your request. We normally reply within one month, with a possible two-month extension for complex or numerous requests; we will explain this within the first month. Proportionate identity verification may be needed where reasonable doubt exists. Exercising rights is generally free.

You can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, or the competent supervisory authority in your country.

Security and changes

We limit access and use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risks. No system is entirely risk-free. Significant changes are communicated where necessary; the date above identifies this version.
